At an event in New York City to promote her self-titled fragrance, teen pop star Selena Gomez revealed that she hopes her friend Taylor Swift and alternative rock band Fun. will collaborate with her on her next album. Gomez and Swift can be seen performing together, above, during Swift’s “Speak Now” world tour.
“I…want to work with Fun. I also want to work with Taylor too,” Gomez tells Ace Showbiz. “I want to go for producers that probably wouldn’t want me to do their songs. I just want to knock on their door… I want to work with just different styles of music. So I just want to do different things for this album.”
She adds, “By the time it comes out, I’ll almost be 21, so I want to be able to – wow, that sounds really scary! I want it to be older.”
The 19-year-old star and her band, Selena Gomez and the Scene, have released an album each of the last three years. This fourth studio effort would come out in the summer of 2013.
